Russian media to discuss Kremlin-EU relations
12 May 2005
As relations between Russia and the EU continue to be strained, Chatham House is giving the British press an unprecedented opportunity to talk over the future of EU-Russia relations with their Russian counterparts.
Brief presentations by some of the Russian delegation will precede discussion on a range of issues such as Russian energy policy, implications for Russia of the accession of new EU member states, and the freedom of the press.
The roundtable, hosted by the Russia-Eurasia programme, will be attended by leading figures in Russian press and media, including the Chief Editors of Izvestia Newspaper and of NTV, one of Russia's leading television news broadcasters. This event is a must for any UK journalist with a professional interest in the progression of Russian policy toward its EU neighbours. The event is free to journalists but places are limited.
