Given that so many interests are invested in finding a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by the end of 2008, the prospects are relatively promising. Yet the way in which this goal is approached will spell gains and losses for different regional players. The speaker will examine how the competition to determine the outcome is affecting the political power balance in the region. Rosemary Hollis will be leaving Chatham House in March after thirteen years.
