Conference overview
The communications sector is in the midst of a fundamental transformation which will leave no company, government or individual untouched. The exploitation of opportunities offered by digitalization and the spread and increasing speed of broadband are producing an explosion of creativity, participation and collaboration.
This conference will offer practical insights into the impact of new services, players, applications and distribution methods on the telecommunications and media sectors. Issues for debate will include:
- What are the key tectonic shifts taking place in the market?
- What is their impact on value chains, business models, competition and the consumer?
- Does the virtual world require a new content landscape? What will be the impact on print, broadcast media and user-generated material?
- How big an obstacle are rights and intellectual property issues to the creation of a genuine global market in content?
- What is the optimal approach for regulators facing continuing market innovation and uncertainty?
