Annual Lectureship on European-American Relations

The purpose of this annual lecture is to provide a forum for prominent and distinguished Americans to speak on major American and European themes to the membership of Chatham House and guests, and to honour Mr C Douglas Dillon for the many contributions he made to European American relations in the public and private sector. The Martin Wight Memorial Lecture

Martin Wight, Professor of History at the University of Sussex, died suddenly in 1972, at the age of 58. A number of his friends and associates agreed to commemorate him with an annual lecture to be given in successive years at Sussex University, the London School of Economics, and Chatham House. The subject of the annual lecture was to reflect the breadth of Martin Wight's interest in history and international relations. Past Events.

Annual Defence Lecture

This annual lecture is held in association with the Naval and Military Club. The usual format of the event is a lecture at Chatham House, followed by drinks and dinner at the Naval and Military Club, No 4 St James's Square, for a small fee. Past Events.
