The speaker will discuss the US Government's efforts on Somalia and the desire for regional and international coordination to support the Djibouti Peace Process and Somalia's Transitional Federal Government. The Ambassador will also raise the US Government's concerns over the increase of extremist threats in Somalia, including by foreign fighters.

The address will be held on the record with the Q&A under the Chatham House Rule.
