Despite Latin America continuing to make the headlines for the wrong reasons, there has been a subtle transformation of the region in the last ten years. This has affected not just the economy, but also society, politics and international relations. As a result, there is a greater maturity in Latin America which - despite the occasional relapse - augurs well for many of those countries about to celebrate the 200th anniversary of their creation as nation-states.

This event is strictly by invitation only.

To enable as open a debate as possible, this event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
