The speaker will reflect on European attitudes towards American foreign policy, the loss of American prestige in recent years, the role of foreign policy in the 2008 elections, and what a Democratic foreign policy would mean for the transatlantic partnership. Since leaving government in 2000, the speaker has been a Visiting Professor of International Relations at the LSE; Foreign Policy Adviser to Presidential candidate John Kerry; and presenter and commentator on Sky News.
