Type: Research and other events

The speakers will look at the various issues surrounding the effective implementation of humanitarian aid, commenting on the international community's ability to respond to natural disasters in a coordinated way and operating in ongoing conflict areas. Using their unique experiences, the panel will discuss the different roles that government and international aid agencies play in providing effective humanitarian aid and consider how to overcome the many political, economic and social obstacles that lie in the way.

There will be a reception beforehand at Save the Children from 18.30 - 19.00.
