In this inaugural meeting of the African Agriculture Series, the speakers will discuss the role of agriculture in Africa today. Across the continent, agricultural output per person has fallen 15% over the past 40 years. Most experts agree the lessons of Asia's 20th-century 'green revolution' are applicable to much of Africa. The meeting will draw together experts in agricultural development to discuss the possibility and nature of a 'green revolution' in the continent.
