Library

The Chatham House Library was formed in 1921 and has one of the longest-established specialist collections of material on international affairs in the United Kingdom.

The collection focuses on international politics, economics and security. While concentrating on current issues and the most recent thirty years, the Library retains significant earlier documentary material, particularly on the background to ongoing intractable problems in world affairs.

Member services include access to lending and reference books and pamphlets, Chatham House publications and periodicals; photocopying facilities and wireless internet access.

Please note that because of building work taking place in the basement, access to some of the older library materials may be restricted or delayed from July to September 2008.

Please consult Admission and Services for further details.
