Academic Institutional Membership
Chatham House has always enjoyed strong links with the academic community through the work of our research programmes. In October 2005 we launched a new membership service - Academic Institutional Membership - in response to requests from academia to make Chatham House more accessible to faculty and students.

For Faculty
Nominated faculty enjoy all the benefits of membership of Chatham House, including:
- Access to the Members' Events Programme and the open seminars and roundtable events hosted by our regional and thematic research areas.
- Personal hard copies of our publications: our monthly magazine, The World Today; our monthly newsletter and events calendar, Chatham House News; our bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal International Affairs.
- Chatham House website: events calendar, 400 event transcripts and recordings, 1,500 articles from The World Today and International Affairs, over 300 briefing papers, research reports and other publications by Chatham House regional and thematic researchers.
- Library & Information Service: wifi internet access, 150,000 books/pamphlets, 300 periodicals and 30 newspapers. Complimentary loan of up to 15 books and a complimentary research enquiry service.
For Students
Students can apply for membership of Chatham House below.
Student Membership: £70.00 - £90.00
Open to students of academic institutions. Enjoy all the benefits of membership at a 50% discount for students of the academic institutional members of Chatham House or 35% for students from non-member academic institutions.
We also organise our Annual Academic Members' Conference for students of Academic Institutional Member organizations. The conference is free of charge.
