On 24 July 2007 Hussen Aideed, who was appointed deputy Prime Minister in Somalia's Transitional Federal Government (TFG) in 2004 and is now a leading member of the opposition group based in Asmara Eritrea, spoke at a Horn of Africa Group meeting at Chatham House. He outlined how he thought the current problems had arisen and the way forward for Somalia.
