Energy security and climate security are two issues that will dominate global politics for the foreseeable future. The tragic fate of New Orleans has given us a compelling preview of what a world that fails to provide them might look like. It is time for action to provide fuels that will allow greenhouse gas emissions to be cut, but time is short.
