Global India

The Asia Programme also focuses on India's development into a power with global ambitions. Research has assessed what kind of role India wants to play in the world, exploring its attitude towards UN reform, for instance, but specific case studies of how it wishes to play a greater role. Past research has assessed India's emerging aid programme, and forthcoming research will examine the Indian state's capacity to respond to disasters, both in India and in other countries.
