Conference Overview
The City Series in 2009 will kick off with a conference examining the fallout from the credit crisis and will seek to identify the factors which contributed to its occurrence and the steps which should be taken internationally to avoid a recurrence of the collapse.
The credit crisis has thrown up many questions regarding economic policies, regulatory shortcomings and business practice in the City and on Wall Street. This event will look at questions including the prospects for a global bank regulator and the need for stronger institutional links between national bank regulators to manage local problems that may impact global markets.
As for all our City Series events, the conference will bring together leading international policymakers, regulators and financiers to discuss this pressing issue.
