Conference Overview

Given the balance between the soaring demand for transport, the environment and society needs, the demand for sustainable transport is becoming increasingly pressing. This conference will seek to address the steps which need to be taken by policymakers, the transport industry and the investment community to resolve this conundrum.

This event will examine how to achieve the integration of transport and climate change in policy and practice. Looking at examples throughout the world, it will try to identify best practice and whether the international community is successfully engaging in resolving this issue.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • The consequences of inaction
  • Capacity and congestion issues
  • The principal challenges to encouraging investment in transport
  • Advances in alternative technology
