Whether fashionista or fogey, we all have an interest in clothing. Its most basic function may be to protect us from the elements - and embarrassment - but it says so much more: whether we are at work or play, blue or white collar, supporters of Tottenham or Arsenal. Increasingly it also says a lot about the world and our relationship with the planet and the people we share it with.
