Yemen Forum

The Chatham House Yemen Forum endeavours to raise awareness, stimulate debate, share expertise and support policy-makers and professionals addressing conflict, poverty and poor governance in Yemen. Convened by Ginny Hill, the project is building a specialist global network focused on Yemen and seeking international consensus around the need to address regional and transnational issues affecting stability and development in Yemen.

The Yemen Forum recently held roundtables and workshops in London, Sanaa and Doha and has also facilitated a series of smaller meetings for policy-makers and other specialists working on Yemen. Summaries of the proceedings of all our major events can be found on this page, along with the project's media output and information about past and future events.

The Yemen Forum's next major event will be a full-day conference held at Chatham House on 1 November 2010, titled Yemen: Political Dynamics and the International Policy Framework.

The project is consistent with Yemen's Strategic Vision, which aims to raise the country's low-income status to one of 'medium human development' by 2025.
