Terms of Intervention

Location

Chatham House, London

Nick Clegg MP, Leader, Liberal Democrats

Type: Members event

In his first major foreign policy speech as Party Leader, Nick Clegg will outline the principles that he believes should underpin military intervention in the twenty-first century. He will argue that the experience of war in Iraq has borne out the arguments of those who opposed it, but that the experience of doing the wrong thing then should not discourage the British government from doing the right thing in the future.
